The Kuder Assessments
About the free Kuder Assessments
An astounding 77 percent of people are unhappy in their jobs* because they never had a way to find out where their skills, interests, and values might best fit into the overall universe of careers.
Thanks to the Kansas Career Pipeline and the Kuder Assessments, you can take control of your future by finding out--in advance--what careers will fit you best. The three assessments will help you learn more about yourself in the following ways:
- Skills Assessment
- After completing a questionnaire where you rate your abilities to perform a variety of tasks, you'll receive a personalized skills profile. This profile includes an easy-to-read chart showing what industries offer you the greatest opportunities for career success. You'll also receive guidance on pursuing educational and career opportunities.
- Interests Assessment (Career Search With Person Match)
- After answering multiple-choice questions about what tasks and activities you enjoy most, you'll receive an easy-to-read chart showing the career areas in which you're most likely to find satisfaction, ranked by career cluster. You'll also receive specific career suggestions, as well as descriptions written by real people who are successful in those careers. You'll be able to access even more career descriptions, complete with videos, listings of related careers, and other resources. Once you've completed the both the Skills Assessment and the Interests Assessment, you'll receive an additional report that combines these two profiles into a single chart, with rankings, comments, and in-depth advice.
- Work Values Assessment
- This assessment helps you make sure the careers you explore are compatible with your values. After answering questions about what's important to you in the work place, you'll receive a profile chart that rates your values in areas like creativity, income, lifestyle, and security. You'll also be able to view profiles of actual jobs held by other people who share your values.
In short, the three assessments will give you valuable information about what you're good at, what you enjoy doing, and what kinds of careers you'll be most comfortable with. From there, you can access other Kansas Career Pipeline resources that will help you build a deliberate road map to a fulfilling future.
